"The Beautiful Retreat"
January 29th - Feb 3rd 2012
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION
When
to Arrive at Kalani
Participants plan to arrive from
world wide destinations by 1:00 pm
at Hilo Airport so you can easily make the first 4:00 pm class at Kalani
(50 minute drive in the country). If you are coming from
far away and need to arrive the night before to spin off
some jet lag, we recommend you relax by staying at Naniloa
Resort. They have a free shuttle (4 minutes from the airport)
with a beautiful view of Hilo Bay, peaceful grounds and
restaurants in walking distance. Don’t forget you
don’t want to miss the first class!
Additional
Costs
- You might like a especially for learning
new moves. This is a great opportunity to use them during the retreat and get in fantastic shape,
but not mandatory. If you do not own one, you can purchase
one in advance and we can have it shipped to meet you at
Kalani.
- If you do not have a drum for the drum classes we can advise you on where to purchase one and can be shipped directly to Kalani
- We have hip scarfs
and veils available for purchases.
- Dance Critiques with Fahtiem or Delilah
Some times a dancer needs a critique. This can be very helpful. If dancers don't ask they rarely get personal feed back. This is a 15 minute session with your choice of instructor. The instructor gives you feed back based on observing you dance in classes, in performance at Kalani and/or you can submit a video tape of your self performing for the instructor to watch in advance, before leaving for Hawaii.
Note: we scheduled these sessions for the end of the retreat. In this session the instructor will talk to you about your dancing, may show you a technique or two, answer questions and make suggestions for your path. $80
- At
Kalani there is not too much to spend your money on out side
of a Kalani
Adventure excursion.
- There is a small gift
shop with espresso, ice cream and snacks.
Massage and other body works are available.
Sign up and pay
at Kalani. Rates are $90 for 1 hour, $170 for 2 hours.
